There is a new Bug affecting new Google (My) Business Profiles, confirmed by Google.

What is happening? Google Business Profile users will receive an email advising the profile is visible to the public, but when you sign in to your Google Business Profile Manager, it asks to enter verification code.
If you press on “Claim this business” on the live listing, it will advise the listing has been already claimed/verified:

Google recommends all users affected by this issue to contact Google Business Profile Support as the next step.
