What is it

Google changed the video size guideline, it decreased the video file size you can upload from 100MB max to 75MB max. These guidelines are for both Video uploads and Posts.

These are the current video guidelines:

  • Duration: Up to 30 seconds long
  • File size: Up to 75 MB
  • Resolution: 720p or higher

Conclusion on this Google My Business Update

I believe because more and more businesses are using Google My Business and uploading videos, Google wants to restrict the costs of this free product.

Even though, Google launched Local Service ads, Local Ads and Google Guarantee Upgrade to pay for the “free” product, creating an effective “freemium” model.
