How to change users roles on Google My Business

This guide will show an easy way to change users on your Google My Business Profile, and the step by step screenshots.

You may want to change a user’s role to give:

  • more permissions – Owner/Primary Owner
  • fewer permissions – Manager/Site Manager.

Changing users roles on Google My Business:

  1. On your computer, sign in to Google My Business.
  2. In the menu on the left, click on “Users”.
  3. Next to the name of the user you want to change the role, click on “Choose a role” dropdown and choose between: Owner, Manager, Site Manager.
  4. On the pop-up box, confirm the change

Click on “Users”

Find the user you intend to make the “Primary Owner”
Click on the down arrow to open the user role’s dropdown menu.

Choose the “Primary owner” option
