Being Local is the biggest advantage for a local business.
I know many small local businesses are pivoting for online trade due to COVID and I am always advising local businesses to create an online presence. So you can provide choice to customers in how they want to deal/purchase from you.
However, I must say that online sales cannot be your main focus or think you will be able to get many customers around the country or world.
National and Global online markets have too much competition as the “entry cost” is low and to make matters worse, you have huge companies with plenty of cash as competitors.
Being local, having a human connection with your customers is something the online competition cannot replicate.
