If you want to know how a real expert resolve issues and increase clients’ Google ranking, sales, and customers.

If you received an email informing you that your appeal was not approved after your Google Business Profile was suspended or disabled and you submitted a reinstatement request through the appeals tool, you may be wondering what to do next.

In this article, I’ll go through the current appeals process, as it’s a fairly new process, and Google has indicated that they will be changing it as feedback is received.

The Appeal Denial Decoding

This is the email you are likely to receive:

“Your business name”, your appeal has not been approved

Your recent appeal for a restricted listing has not been approved.

Content that violates our policies on deceptive content and behavior isn’t allowed. Deceptive content intentionally misleads or deceives others.

See restriction policy

Unfortunately, this reason “Content that violates our policies on deceptive content and behavior isn’t allowed. Deceptive content intentionally misleads or deceives others” is misleading and looks like a template as I have seen it in all denials and the issues with the profiles were not related to content violations or restriction policy.

Even worse, when you click on the link to the restriction policy, and it makes no sense, hopefully Google will change this in the future.

You will need to check the guidelines once again to understand why it was denied or I can take a look

How Can You Appeal This Denial

After checking the guidelines as I advised above, please gather as much evidence as possible to prove the existence of your business and your ownership.
Keep in mind that you only have one opportunity to submit a reappeal.

You have 2 routes to re appeal:

If Google denies the re-appeal (they usually advise that it is not eligible as the reason), the only way to reinstate your business profile is to escalate it to a specialist.

This can only be done through a GBP Product Expert. You can either hire one directly or start a new thread on the Google Business Profile Community Forum. However, do note that getting attention to your thread can be challenging, as the forum receives a high volume of queries, so you may have to post a few times.
